It's such a good read omg honestly really really worth.
First of all, i like that there are actually ingenious superpowers and not the classic "oh the mc has shadow and light abilities, they're super rare btw" or the basic elemental types. I liked that there are actually powers based on intellect, pure immagination and the sensible part of the consciousness. I like the philosophy references like the noumenon and pure state of the thought, memory, senses and emotions.
Second: the characters Deep interesting characters. I'm glad they put also Ye's pov and his inner thoughts. I truly liked that we get to see the gradual building of the relationship til the end, in both povs.
Third: THE RELATIONSHIP OMG Usually relationship with "fated" trope aren't really my fave. Cause it's so fcking obvious from the first encounter that "oh yeah they're fated to be". Especially with how Ye looked at An nuo, you just knew from the beginning that he's already infatuated (+) The way that it HAD to be An Nuo to have the ability to awake Ye's final power. It just really screams "oh yeah they're definitely made for each other". But i liked that, even so, it was exciting. Ye's protective behaviour towards An Nuo, who's so new to all of this and he was actually do cute when he's all looking naive xD But he did it well tbh, Ye did a great job on handling him well and with care.
The end: The battles were mid-ok, kinda easily fixed tbh? Rockfeller being trapped just like that, with just pressing a button. Or like Dr. Brute being eaten by his own creature Ye's Stepmother was, somehow, really really irrelevant eventually. And it's a bummer that we don't have extras, i would’ve liked to see their new life as lovers in the above ground. Sigh
But hey, art is decent and really well drawn actually. Story is good, but what made all of this more entertaining was ofc An Nuo and Ye's dynamic and their train of thoughts being always the main focus.
