I think the author plans to have Mpreg in it so they added ABO to justify that. I read a spoiler that Kishiar didn't bust a nut inside Yuder for fear of impregnating him accidentally.

nobles, magicians and them lowlifes are apparently treating omegas as cattles for breeding and so on and so forth. It was a big issue in Yuder's past life (omegas in that past life are treated like second class citizens who should just spread their legs etc etc) and honestly one of the sources of Yuder's PTSD. It becomes the catalyst why Yuder and Kishiar's past relationship was so wrecked and beyond saving.
It's not only for horny purposes but for angst too, that's for sure.
i like this story but i feel like the omegaverse trope felt irrelevant(?). I love a/b/o genre, but this story can stand on its own with its magic system.. omegaverse in this manhwa is just for a porn plot isn't...?
