I think a lot of people confuse being honest/curious or acting without thinking as just a normal behaviour and just being outspoken forgetting that they can end up being inconsiderate, forgetting to put themselves in the other shoes often overstepping and being plain rude.
Not all "typical" questions are acceptable questions. Even the most "typical" questions can be rude and out of line. Feeling close? UGH soooooo annoying.
