How was she to know the fate of a side character’s parents?

She didn’t realize she was in a novel till she went to the banquet and saw the og fl, at that point I’m guessing her parents was already gone and she was living with her uncle maybe? Or she could have been a side character who didn’t have any story at all since in chapter 6 or 7 it says they didn’t show who the wife of the villain was which is weird since she knows that he kills her ? Also idk if she’s meant to be the villainess in this story? Or if her cousin is ? It’s somewhat confusing

I read the novel long time ago so I'm not sure I think she tried or just remembered after their death

So she’s a 2nd secondary side character which is confusing in the og story I’m guessing her parents probably died right about the debut ball when she got her memory back so there wasn’t really any time for her to prepare, the title went to her uncle and cousin who obviously didn’t like her leaving her with no money so marriage was the best option so she ended up marrying him

I remember her uncle family gets executed when the emperor ascends to the throne, that's why mc married far away, so she won't be purged with them
