I am commenting on the fact that they said " I rather be single forever than finding out my husband is getting fucked by some dude" this is where the homophobia is showing.

The phrase "than finding out that my husband is getting fucked by some dude" is different to say "than finding that my husband is cheating".
Cheating is awful in any way, but the phrasing that OP used shows that for them it is worse if the husband is cheating by doing it with a man.
