I doubt that’s the reason for the hiatus, they’re just adapting the novel after all. The entire story alrdy exists and is planned out for them; they aren’t just creating their own original manhwa and going off the rails. They don’t need to figure out how to write themselves out of a hole - it’s all in the novel and all they have to do is adapt it. But aside from that I agree I’m losing interest in this manhwa tbh the contract shit is just not fun to read LOL. As for the hiatus, I bet it’ll be gone for a really long time. These English tl uploads are extremely late - that hiatus notice in the kr raws was months ago, like it was literally March 2023.
Tho just to add as a caveat to my first pt: idk to what extent this follows the novel. Ik obviously it’s an adaptation but readers have said that they made the mc nicer and less of an AH in this manhwa version (especially in how he treats Jae Oh), so who knows what else they altered in the adaptation
