First off, he has been physically been forced multiple times and afterwards been manipulated, threatened and scared. He currently does not have the mentality to actually do something; you can even see it on him. He's constantly tired, depressed and anxious. He clearly has ptsd, too. It's not easy to just "grow some balls". Have some compassion, it is scarily realistic seen from a person who's been sexually abused myself.
