I'm going to give you some information that might help you understand the complexity of Sasha's character.
It's quite clear Sasha character is dealing with severe depression. A common symptom in individuals with depression is the lack of belief that they'll have something forever. They are constantly waiting for it to end or for them to leave because they truly believe they aren't worthy of it. There's proof of this when Sasha tells Karel he doesn't understand why Karel loves him. Furthermore, please take into account t that Sasha grew up with a parent that quite clearly projected her issues and insecurities onto her child. It's not that Sasha doesn't trust Karel, he clearly did otherwise he wouldn't have left with him. He just didn't believe he'd have this happiness forever because he didn't feel worthy enough to have it. Aka: Didn't want to a burden.
Hope this helps. I truly believe you shouldn't hate any of these characters as they all have complex backgrounds and issues that are then your average boring BL plot with Red flag Seme and Weak ass Uke. There is no evil person in this, it is truly just people who have been dealt shit cards in life and trying to get through it, unfortunately hurting each other in different ways in the process as people do in real life.
I know sasya has his own issues but he never trusted karel who only show him kindness since they met always thinking about him as some kind of villain who connected with grand duke Nikolai and sasya always trusted easily others instead karel that's why their relationship is never healthy, he thinks too much negative about karel in ep 14 why thou sasya think so negative about karel like that? And he never told him about his suffering instead he said to julien. In their relationship miscommunication, misunderstanding is the problem here and most important trust.
