This is now a common trope for Isakei stories now. Manhwa like; father I don’t want to marry, Who made me a princess, death is the only ending for the villainess, How to get my husband on my side and now this follow the same concept, it’s mostly cause readers always feel back for the OG character and wish they would also get a happy ending, so Authors like to do this to give the OG character a happy ending. Doctor Elise has a similar concept, the only difference is the FL is aware of her past life and when she went back to the first life she still has memories of her first life and her second life in modern Korea. She uses her knowledge from both lives to help her live a better life and fix mistakes she made in her first life.
Because I know this is cheesy and generic but imagine having to give your only daughter up to be married to a family far away, having no contact and assuming she’s abandoned you but in reality the nasty ass imperial family was intercepting like??? HAS ME CRYING, original MC probably thought her family HATED her, brushed her aside and probably called for help in her letters. I love to see her get justice but it’s never the same, i wish it was the OG MC time regressing T_T
