Up to chapter 15
Gin was a slave of Duchess Erhard. He got bought out by another person when he was 18, the person sent him gifts (e.g. pearls) and letters calling him Little Pearl - he now calls that person Little Pearl. They never met, Little Pearl gave Gin the means to finish education abroad, he wrote to Little Pearl that he wants to support the revolution and Little Pearl agreed with him, later they lost contact.
Gin returned rich, he's part of the revolutionary group and looking for Little Pearl to save them before the revolution. Duchess Erhard and her son died, Duke Erhard is a gambler in debt so Gin paid him off to "recognize" him as his son and gain a noble title - so now he's Duke Erhard. The group thought that there will be no more trouble with anyone recognizing Gin for his former status but the Crown Prince Maximilian recognized him and asked him to be his "model".
The king is sick so the revolutionary group knows that the Archduke (the king's brother) will want to take the throne from the Crown Prince Maximilian. Gin is trying to gain the Archduke's attention and trust for the plan so he's trying to show off his wealth and influence by his involvement with the Crown Prince.
I seriously don't know what's going on. Can someone brief explain to me?
