I believe the prince was in love with Sunwoo and he wanted to see him smile lovingly at Anh. He knew he couldn't make Sunwoo happy like his so he was obessessing with Sunwoo's past relationship with Anh.

The one thing I was a little confused about is the prince's obsession? Why was he so obsessed with sunwoo and geumhoo's relationship? Did he like one of them or what???
