I think the story is just fast pace and they don't explain properly about the story at the beginning. It just went straight to the scene of fl fighting that snake and asking help. Maybe that why it kind of give off a weird feeling. Most story take a little bit time before FL and ml meet each other. I will wait for more chapters to come out before reading it.
