Perhaps it's because he has to sacrifice for his brother's love life (plus in Petit Mignon, there seems to be a triangle between twins and theo, a lot), weight of his family line and cannot act as he wants. So he probably takes his anger out on this omega?? Not sure
Why most of the alpha omega stories start like that? Since everyone's saying there might be a reason behind his toxic attitude, I'm not gonna lose hope. Also he is Daato and Juda's child, if they do gave us a reason I hope it's a solid one so that I don't regret reading his part of the story
