I'm confused what's the plot

Read "Soul Drifters" by the same artist first. This is a side story of the antagonist in that story.
Personally, I'm glad she got a side story because as much as she was a bitch in Sould Drifters, her actions were somewhat understandable. None of the characters in Soul Drifters were clean. Sorry for the mini ramble but yeah
