nails regrow. as long as you're eating and otherwise living then those nails will grow back

But some nails after being injured don't heal until you uproot The whole nail again. My Dad has one such nail that's been in the same situation from last 20 years. In our language we call it "the nail died". It's more like the skin under the nail is injured so the discoloration
