wait. did i read the novel wrong? from what i remember, shao qun stabbed himself and made it seemed like the young boy accidentally stabbed him, chengxiu took care of the injured shao qun and he eventually forgave him and got back together. That stab scene was the final. The surrogacy is in the middle novel. He didn't ask chengxiu about surrogacy. He secretly took chengxiu sperm that while he was unconscious. After the baby already in the womb than he tells him about that to bind chengxiu. He wants to run away and hate shaoqun very much but he didn't leave because the child was innocent.
