Bold of you to assume she’s not the one making him sick

I'm pretty sure she is indirectly doing it for practicing demonic arts. We don't know but there's nothing wrong with making assumptions. It makes reading weekly updates fun.

wait, I thought she was doing it directly? all that weird stuff she keeps feeding him is really sus and it looked to me like she had a deal with that dark spirit perhaps it keeps serving her in exchange for her son's life (at least that's how I understood it) but I'm not really sure what her end goal is and it looked to me like she was trying to keep him alive for the time being but I honestly doubt that she cares for him as a mother, he is just a means to achieve her goals but then who knows what she's plotting or why ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I also think she’s doing it voluntarily but I don’t think it’s to exchange his life I just think it’s a way of keeping him under her thumb for when he gets his coronation she has most of not all control

oh yh that works too. the reason I thought she made a deal for his life (yk like the usual thing where a spirit or some other entity helps out in exchange for the firstborn child) was bc of that scene where that thing seemingly makes a move and she is like "not yet" or something to that effect

I agree. It's so weird. Because from what I got out of it is her son is sick and she's using dark arts to keep him alive and feeding him weird shit to keep his sickness in check. And his sickness is like demonic etc. So she's using demonic shit to combat his sickness I think. But of course I could be wrong. I'm gonna have to go back and reread those chapters to grasp the details.
