It's on the ace spectrum and it basically means that a person experiences little romantic attraction and only develops it with people they are already platonically(or ig sexually in this case) close to.

this is after all a BL story. i think it would be cool if there was aro representation in stories! but this is (most likely) not one of those so dont get ur hopes up :(
