To be honest, (I'm probably the only person who thinks this) but I think his reaction is pretty normal. The first thing you see is someone's looks. People have preferences. I just give him credit for actually being honest about it. Some people will lie behind your back and be like "She's actually not cute. She's such a bitch." Plus, he has been surrounded by hot men (like Maya). Once he saw a "normal looking person" his expectations on men crashed to the ground. I don't blame him. If I was surrounded by hot men, they would be my standards as well.
Though that is a lesson for everyone. Don't judge them until you get to know them ahaha.
I really didn't like how Okino treated the-plain-guy-I-d'ont-remember-his-name, he was rude and only paid attention when he realized the-plain-guy-I-d'ont-remember-his-name was a hot IKEMEN .... never judge a book by his cover ╮(￣▽￣)╭
