So, because I couldn't stand the anticipation, I went back and re-read BJ Alex (again!).
I found a few similarities between Jinx & BJ Alex plotlines!
1. The couch scene. In BJ Alex it was at school in the student council room and in Jinx it was in the gym itself. So relieved that Potato didn't turn out to be like Kang-Hun. 2. Jiwon got so damn jealous of MD, twice. Same with Jaekyung regarding Heesung. And they both have similar ways of dealing with it. Although Jaekyung crossed a line. No idea how Dan will deal with it if/when he learns about Heesung being in the room. DG really didn't take it that hard and just asked for a date with Jiwon as a way to make up. 3. DG winning at every game in the arcade was like Dan winning all the board games! 4. Jiwon ignoring and acting like a dicc during the school festival was similar to how Jaekyung was treating Dan during the weight loss prep before the match. Again, Jaekyung just went out of his way to be rude though. 5. DG being outed in high school is similar to Dan's bad experience with that professor (briefly mentioned in chapter 2). 6. Jiwon celebrated reaching 1 million viewers, and Jaekyung will probably celebrate his win in the match. 7. I don't know what gym Jiwon goes to but the trainer in chapter 41 looks exactly the same as coach Namwook Park from Jinx lol. 8. It was memorable when Jiwon first admitted he was in love (chapter 51), and it is significant hearing Dan admit he's in love (chapter 40)! Next chapter should be about Potato & Heesung lol. 9. DG saying he still loves Jiwon (chapter 59) is a little similar to Dan saying he loves Jaekyung. Jiwon and Jaekyung's backs were the prominent focus.
About Character similarities : Potato could be like Chanwoo. Heesung could be like MD. I absolutely love their DS relationship. Imagine Potato & Heesung in similar dynamics! Although Potato really likes Jaekyung way more than Chanwoo would ever like Jiwon lol.
