The uke let the Seme think he liked his friend because he believed that was the only way he could have a connection with the Seme. The Seme only asked for his phone number or talked to him when it concerned keeping the uke "in check" from making a move on his friend.
If you look at the way the Seme stood up for the uke in front of his friends at HS saying "if you got to know him you would realize he isn't scary", "don't say anything when you don't know him", or when he asked the uke's friend "where's that sunbae!" When they haven't seen each other since HS this should tell everyone the Seme was developing feelings/an attachment to the uke because he wasn't concerned for the friend at all. That initial "he's my type" was most likely just an observation and not really anything seriously meant.

The Seme is a red flag, manipulative and stalker. I hate how manhwas make them look good when they are trash.
Weird but so basically the seme liked the blondie at first (cause look wise he's his type but he ends up liking the uke more) & he also misunderstood that the uke liked the blondie as well. So, he considered himself as his rival keeping him in check (since Highschool) when in reality uke was more intrigued by the seme. (〜￣△￣)〜
Yet, uke never corrected the seme & let seme run this narrative that he is in an unrequited love with the blondie when in fact he's in an unrequited love with him.
So, they both misunderstood each others feelings cause uke thought seme loves the blondie, while seme thought Uke is in an unrequited love with the blondie. (love triangle shit, if only they communicated better)
Ngl, I didn't really like how seme was kinda lowkey an ass cause he didn't seem serious about the uke. But oh well, turns out he does like the uke & was doing all those crazy shit to lowkey provoke the uke like when he confessed to the blondie just to see how uke would react. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ Ps- seme is not my cup of tea but looking forward to the extras.
