Very well put. Even if the author doesn't mean for us to see his POV, some reasons to his behaviour should have already been put forward as clues? Like troubled past, complexes, anything that would make him seem more "human". There's already 40 chapters, but it's the same thing over and over again :/ i see no progress whatsoever.
the only part that i keep circling back to was when jaekyung met dan's grandma but even then there was hardly any "warmth" from him after. other shitty seme characters would have some parts of him that you can think "i get u've been hurt but that's no excuse to do this" but with jaekyung i don't remember much instances like that
Oh right, the grandma episode. I already forgot about it. It was a surprising gesture that led nowhere and was never explained. I wonder if seme is really a jackass to such an extent that him having a decency to get the uke out of interrogation is like supposed to be revolutionary to his character arc
yeah the grandma bit didn't go anywhere at all he didn't really go a tad bit nicer with dan after that like i thought he would. this "one of my own" bit is hardly anything to swoon about but the bar is so low for jaekyung that i guess it's something?
i kinda wish jaekyung had more internal monologues during the story... idk his just so badly written as a seme jerk tormentor ??? like yeah the whole point of him is to be insufferable but there's always just him angry, not much of him just being a normal person?? it's so hard to link kim dan's feelings towards jaekyung because there's hardly any time i can remember that jaekyung wasn't being a dickwad.
