It’s hard to say what had more impact her divine powers or the fact that the ML and her siblings aren’t used to genuine love or kindness. Since the ML and his sister are dark magicians they are restless, irritable, and can’t sleep without being haunted if they use their magic. ML being able to lower his defenses and get a decent nights sleep, and the sense of security/safety her presence/power evokes I think made him start to fall or border the obsessive. He wants to help her evade whatever harm that she’s running from but she’s keeping so much to herself. The love potion part of her powers stopped effecting him either because prolonged exposure made him fall in love or he already fell for her. She is adamant that his feelings are wrong and that he can only love the OGFL.
