I'd say it depends on the guy. Overconfident guys tend to chase bcs well. They're confident enough and this whole thing is a playfight ig? Sweeter calmer guys are usually not chasers and if you ignore them, they'll also leave you be. There's a lot more different types of ppl too ofc who have different reactions abt being ignored.
Ultimately it really depends on the guy and the whole "the guy gets determined to chase the girl who ignores him" is a stereotype at best.

like the other commenter said, it really depends on the guy! in this case, being ignored leading to picking on sesam makes sense bc heejae is a showboat (and a bit of a troll). someone so obviously disliking him and shutting him out is gonna be someone he wants to mess with, especially when he has his own suspicions that they’re not being entirely honest about who they are. he clearly isn’t afraid of starting conflict to get attention, either — it seems like getting negative attention is preferable to being treated like he doesn’t exist.
i don’t think it started out as love, i think it just started as an ego thing (“im gonna make you acknowledge me no matter what”) and eventually it became more self-satisfaction (“your reactions are hilarious so im gonna keep picking on you”). but, it would probably have ended quickly if seyoung didn’t react at all to teasing. i think where it starts turning into “affection” is when heejae realizes he actually enjoys the time they spend together, and he starts becoming “curious” and wanting to know more about his noona lol (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ and then seyoung saves his life, and it’s all over LOL
Honest question here.
But do guys really feel challenged when girls are ignoring them? Out of curiosity coz it seems like once they are ticked after being the subject of the girl's 'nemesis', it became deeper as an affection turns to real feelings. Or does it depends on a guy? ( ̄∇ ̄")
(Please be nice as I really don't get it why guys typically falls in love to their love interest who's ignoring them before)
