Agreed. And looking at Lomonosov's past, makes sense that he would feel increasingly hopeful that his son would live a happy fulfilled life with their partner and child, because he was never able to do so. For him that was the ultimate picture of happiness. He's not a bad parent, he really wants what's best for him. Now he just has to come to terms with the fact that his son is going to achieve happiness in a different way. BUT BOY, will shit hit the fan when he learns it's Ceaser (≧∀≦)

An assumption is not illegal. He just thought his son would grow up and be somewhat like him in that sense. I don’t see how this makes him a bad parent.. Now if you said something along the lines of “he abandoned him and his mom at a young age he’s such a bad parent” that would make a whole lot more sense. I’m satisfied by how he reacted.

…. That’s one odd way of putting it. The way I see it when a child is a full grown adult who’s probably already had sex with someone or people they like/liked and the parents getting older they want to encourage the child to settle down and create a family and be happy like they once did. Grandparents love having grandchildren they can spoil. The parent may want to see their next biological generation of kids before they die. Which is completely normal. I’m also sure the parents would respect the decision if their child chooses to adopt. Can’t speak for all though.

But it's very archaic to put those expectations on a child, even a grown child.
Marriage and children doesn't equate to happiness.
Especially when he abandoned his own wife and son, instead of giving up his life of crime.
Like, he's not one to preach.
And even if he were, happiness is different for everyone.
And caring about biology is selfish, especially in terms of continuing on your bloodline.
If they actually cared about children or grandchildren, the focus wouldn't be biology.
Like, there's 153million+ orphans in the world.
If they cared about kids, they'd adopt.
But that aside, it's still forcing gender and sexuality onto someone.
Queer people can have kids too.
So it's weird to assume he can't have that "happy" life just cause he's gay.
Nothing says bad parents like making your child's sex life about yourself.
