I wouldn’t say it’s a harem. He does end up with more than one woman but he’s dedicated to them. It’s three in total. The lady we’re about to be introduced to, Sienna, and Anise the holy saint in Hamel’s era. It’s those three alone. While Ciel likes Eugune, he rejects her. There’s like two other women who show interest in him but again it’s not reciprocal and nothing ever happens between them. It’s not like he’s growing a harem because he’s obsessed with women or anything. It’s more like a polygamous relationship tbh. It feels more sincere than a lot of other relationships with harems and stuff. He’s not looking for a relationship, he legitimately is in love and those women love him back. Don’t be too concerned.

Yea, at first it kinda pissed me off when I heard about it and then I read it and I was able to let it go a bit, its just hard in the manga cause you really root for Sienna and Eugene. Anyway Kristina/Anise grow on you bc of Kristina's arc and it does seem more like a poly relationship. Plus Anise/Kristina and Sienna are not dead weight. I would be pissed tho if the author added more to their relationship.
So, question- i want to continue reading this webtoon but someone told me the novel, which this webtoon was based off, was a harem and I'm fucking scared. Is there a harem? How much screentime does this harem get?? Is the story still the main focus or will the harem ex machina be a thing- will the mc do stupid things bc harem are the damsel in distress or will all the women be reduced to objects that have no character depth whatsoever and reduced to their harem stereotypes??
Is there a child in the harem-
Ahhhhhh I'm overthinking but I'm alao scared by many of my fav story pieces are tainted by harems and romance and yanderes, tsundere (that are violence itself and have no sense of comon logic) that I'm scared to continue reading only to be disappointed - like i want to read it again - so can someone tell me if there is a harem, bc either way ud be doing me a big favor
