Let's discuss.

I do not understand why people are hating on the King.
For you to be loved by someone, you must be lovely enough for that person. And since she changed, her behaviour was upto his taste. What is wrong with that?

I mean, he’s not really shown any concern towards the saintess 2nd wife…like imagine a scenario that she’s not the bad guy..the king should know that shunning one of them would literally ostracise her. Just becuase he ‘fell in love’ with one of the women who were forced to marrry him, it doesn’t make him a good person ignoring the woman he didn’t fall in love with? I don’t hate ML but I’m definitely not going to say he’s a good person…becuase he’s not..but he has the power to see to it that they don’t get treated like shit but as we’ve seen he CANNOT be BOTHERED

Just really sad he’s acknowledging her now when he neglected the original mc, not to mention he’s now almost doing the same thing to the novels fl, I mean I don’t pity the og fl for her treatment since she’s a bitch, but the king regretting what he’s done now doesnt excuse his actions since his regret isn’t even directed to the right person. It’s really pathetic for him to want her now when SHE doesn’t want him

I don't agree with your logic. If I love some why would I be entertaining anyone else. Usually when you're in love you focus on that person and you give your all to them and everyone else is irrelevant. And the Saintess has done things to the MC, so of course he wouldn't care for her any longer. I mean if you're trying to make things work with your crush would entertain someone who likes you.

Girl I never said he should be entertaining another woman. I’m saying that there is a power structure in place and that as he’s the top of the power structure, he obviously knows that the two women appointed to him had no choice but to marry him. He knows they can’t leave him and he knows that by giving all his attention to one, the other woman would get mistreated by the public for being ignored. He doesn’t acknowledge this. If the ML fell in love with the saintess instead of the MC, this would be a tragedy. Do you understand what I’m saying? Just because he is in love and treating the MC kindly, if the saintess was not the bad guy in this story, she would just be a poor woman who is the unloved 2nd wife. If seme was a good person, he would find a way for her to be happy as well living in his kingdom but he doesn’t give a shit (my evidence of this is how badly mistreated the MC was in her past life being ignored by the ML.) If you don’t understand that logic then..idk what to tell you

Your ideas do make sense..... And then there are some people who think noble ladies and consorts in the medieval ages were the happiest or smth. I can give one example of Claude from WMMAP. MF just slaughtered the entire harem of concubines AND maids because his lover died died. If you are not a favoured one or basically a side female character (concubine or consort)who the ml is not blindly in love with them then there is a good chance your head might roll. Women in those days didn't had any rights, couldn't work like today's women can with a fixed and equal payscale or could hold properties to their names..When they were young they had to cling to their fathers and latter after marriage their husband first then their son's.
