Yeah, ikr, it's like the two scenes have zero connection to each other (it's like giving the middle finger to "chapter cohesion", even if later on it turns out genius teacher boy can brilliantly come up with a life-saving cure for the prince... or... sth...)
That's what I was thinking..there's a lot of jumping around. I'm not bored but like you said the lack of cohesion lessens the impact. (〜￣△￣)〜
