People are mad about the ending not because they don't end up together but because so many things are left unaddressed, like did you miss all that? Dohyeok got violently gangraped and obviously has PTSD and the ending doesn't even hint that he's going for therapy? He continues being obsessive by saying in his mind he won't give up Siwoo? Is he not going to realize the trauma he put Jiwoon and Suha through and apologize? Nobody addresses that Siwoo himself RAPED Dohyeok? Siwoo obviously doesn't even like the faceless guy so he's basically returning to his roots of just getting into relationships without actually loving the person and in essence using them.
A lot of people have expected they won't be together. People are unhappy because it's a shit ending.

I agree tbh so many unnecessary things happened here and instead of this side story going in a positive direction things continued hitting rock bottom dohyeok was a piece of shit but the things that happened to him were also unnecessary,siwoo wasn't the brightest character out there either,and the ending also pissed me off but for siwoo and dohyeok to cut ties and go each on their way was honestly the best option this story had
