Easy, the answer is the Empress Dowager. She easily stopped any attempt of Louise and her family from communicating with each other, what’s to say she doesn’t have the ability to stop them from visiting each other. The Duke house isn’t powerful enough to go against the Imperial family, that’s why they were unable to stop the stupid engagement and Louise being taken away when she young. They had started the rebellion in secret with the help of the true crown prince. They were gaining support and strength in order to save Louise before she left on her own accord with the help of her brother. She was only able to escape cause it was only the stupid prince and his mistress that were in the palace. The only time Louise could actually communicate and see her family is when the Empress Dowager isn’t there to stop it from happening.
The Empress Dowager isolated Louise from her family and made sure she had no one, so she could only rely on the Imperal family and become their puppet. After all they were only after the Duke family mines which only those with Duke family bloodline can access. After the prophecy was revealed they went down harder on her to make sure only they can possess Louise. They see Louise as an object that only they, the Imperial family, can only possess. While it was unlucky that Louise died in the first timeline, it was lucky she didn’t have a child with that stupid prince. They would probably neglect the kid and use them when they are need, I wouldn’t be surprised if they died early cause of the mistress, she would only want her kids to have be in line for throne and have power.
Not really. In the latest chapter it’s shown that a young Louise before she was taken away had met the Prince while he was recovering. That’s why the Prince was already half in love/find of Louise. He knew her when she was young. I’m guessing before the Prince had the carriage accident which lead to the Duke’s family finding him and hide him, it wasn’t revealed yet that Louise was going to get engaged to an Imperial member. They, Imperial family, were probably deciding which of the two princes would they get Louise engaged to. The logical choice would the first prince who was the crown prince at the time. But on the other the second prince, who later become Emperor, was the current (at the time) Empress’s son. It was probably decided in the end that the first prince would be the one chosen. To prevent the first prince from having more power than her own son, the Empress had ordered the first prince to be killed in a carriage accident. She probably thought she succeeded cause they didn’t find the first prince’s body, not knowing he’s recovering at the duke’s place. With the first prince gone, Louise had no choice but to be engaged to the idiot second prince.
What I want to know is what happened in the first timeline. According to the Duke, they were meant to rescue and rebel against the crown during Louise’s coming of age ceremony. But, according to Louise that never happened cause shortly after her coming of age ceremony, the mistress became pregnant and was officially titled as Emperor’s consort. And after that Louise had died due to being overworked. So what happened to the rebellion. Were they discovered or did something prevent them from going as planned.
Most of the plot holes are either cause the manhwa had skipped a few details that were in novel or you need to go back and reread it to fill in the blanks. It’s quite common for manhwa’s to skip stuff that were in the novel. It’s usually to keep the manhwa short and combine a few chapters together, usually two chapters. Other times u need to become a detective and fill in the plot holes urself.

how do you not visit your young daughter in 10 years?
