This chapter was really good. I like how Jake made the call in front of Shin and spoke to his supervisors about the situation, in that way it’s not keeping Shin in the dark completely. It’s not like he had a choice, but it just means that Jake is willing to compromise himself for Shin, as he even mentioned his plans always change when Shin gets involved. The way he was dragging Shin away and protected him. I didn’t just expect him to be like get out though, I’m excited for their relationship to have some tears and trouble and see how they deal with it and how Shin deals with finding out about Jake’s position and if Jake comes clean or will still be keeping secrets. The way Jake had tried to comfort Shin about him killing a person and then Shin just got angry, completely justified, but even in these moments of him (Jake) being in a compromised and losing position he’s worried about Shin. These next months waiting are gonna be torture, definitely gonna have to reread.
On a side note. Throughout the whole series, I really do like Ross and hope he makes his comeback and appearance in the next season as mentioned he wasn’t dead. I feel a lot of people don’t like Ross, but I feel there’s some undeniable tension between Ross and Shin, nothing like Jake and Shin. But Ross is definitely crazy about Shin and clearly wants him, I think it would be interesting to see more of his character.
