why is nobody talking about the rape scene?

i genuinely couldn’t finish this shit but i’ll probably still force myself to do so cause i’m curious from how the story will progress but seriously what the fuck? i hate taichi so much like deadass even saying “i’ll hit you again” while nao was resisting him how are we just going to ignore that???? WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT IT??? WHY ARE PEOPLE FINE W IT LIKE???? nao deserves so much better oh my god that rape scene was so triggering cause it’s not romanticized at all it’s full on violent rape it’s haunting the fuck out of me i’ve read a tons of yaoi and i’m not saying i’m fine with rape but usually you know when the author romanticizes rape and it’s mostly watered down but this one did it for me what the fuck. AND THE SUBTLE VICTIM BLAMING???? like saying that it was nao who hasn’t changed at all making it seem that it was all on him on why they had a fallout? i’m not saying that nao was not guilty theyr both equally are at fault but one of the main reason is literally taichi always forcing himself on nao???? poor boy doesn’t deserve any of that happening to him oh my GOD. i feel so sick what the fuck is the author on about. (though it’s not really shocking since they wrote yarichin bitch club)

Thank you, I came here to say this as well! They’re both to blame, they have poor communication skills with each other. But Taichi is TOO possessive of Naoto, knowing perfectly well that he’s extroverted and flirty. IRL, I would feel jealous if the person I was dating was like that but I would never have that kind of behavior. And as an adult Taichi got worse, no matter how much he says he tried to get better. He’s so jealous and possessive that he ended up raping Naoto and it was AWFUL! It was realistic and raw and painful! And a mere apologize would NEVER be enough in real life, never! He’s a red flag no matter how much ppl try to justify his behavior. Rape is never the answer no matter how angry you are and even if it’s between guys that fight (physically) a lot. It was brutal, I almost dropped the manga! But I do love this mangaka works and I understand why she chose to write Taichi this way. But it wasn’t enough for me that a mere apologize was enough and that even Naoto apologized. They were both wrong but Naoto asked ahead of time for no sex, and Taichi got so triggered with it WHY? A relationship is not just about sex! He didn’t even confide in Naoto about his father being sick, he was actually just using Naoto as a fuck buddy and he doesn’t deserve an easy redemption like this. He has no trauma whatsoever to justify this behavior. None! Parents got divorced? Boohoo cry me a river. It’s not the end of the world! It’s hard but it’s not traumatic enough for him to be this possessive about the only friend he had! And I’m saying this because as a high schooler I was like Taichi, I was shy and didn’t have many friends. But the ones I had I NEVER did shit like Taichi did to Naoto. So yeah, I have zero sympathy for Taichi, sue me ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Right? There was a lot of potential in this story but damn the artist just threw everything out the window with poorly choices in terms of character development. It could’ve been a really good story, but there are so many things I just can’t get over
