isnt the current kind the son of the old king. or mc‘s grandmother is the sister of the old king. the older blond lady is the daughter of the old and the sister of the current king. The mother of the nephew (forgot his name :) is the mc‘s sister. his father is the half brother of the ml and connected to the royals by blood bc his mother was the sister of the current and daughter of the old king. so the mc is quarter royal and her nephew is half royal but from both his parents side. his parents were second cousins
