Before you call others stupid maybe think about how the twins didn't even ask the mc beforehand and just assumed by themselves he couldn't tell him and went straight to the friend.
that's bc they thought that their friend was in a tough situation BC OF THEM, they just tried to clean up their own mess. They knew they were the ones to start this whole thing.
