The Second Prince, Jacob.

I don't really know where to begin with this. Ever since the start, I couldn't ever bring myself to hate his character, we share similar experiences; we both lack family love in a way that pushes us to make them proud, even when we're always being compared to. Yes, his love for a married woman was disgusting, it was not his love that made it so, but rather how he conveyed his love. On another note, how could anyone blame him for such a messy way of love if he never experienced it before; whether giving or receiving it. He never had anyone love him the "right" way, seeing as how his mother's love was shown as asking them to die together. That, in it's essence, was Jacob's only form of love that he knew. We cannot forgive his actions of harassing Bianca, but his character shouldn't be so hated for that, one's childhood is important in shaping a person, which is why he ended up like that. At some moments in the manhwa, he felt like a little boy again whenever he was with Bianca. Maybe what he wanted from her was the love he failed to receive from his parents, to covet something from someone else just like what happened to him regarding his right to succession and how he was betrayed once again by Sevrang. In the end, his demise was caused only due to himself, there was never truly a way to redeem his character, if however, he received proper love, Jacob would've been my favorite character in the series.

At his final moments, he still looked like a young boy, no war, no killings, no desire, just pure thoughts of "what if" but not of regret, if he did regret something, it would be his way of trying to attain Bianca's love. There was a possibility that Bianca would've been his salvation, his own form of character development. I think that Jacob's death was done right, although it pains me to say so. In my heart, I just wanted someone to love him, even if his ways were twisted; it was all he lacked, love.
