Well, I agree, and I hoped he groveled more too, like suffer!!! But when I put into account that he's just a kid and didn't know any better, he just wants to protect Chi the way he thought was right when he is suffering too. So yeah just a kid trying his best, so when I think about that hope they don't suffer again
Is it just me or are you guys crying too? I really agree with Haachan, no matter what, Subaru's reasoning was too painful for Chiaki when he pretended to reject her to protect her. And it was even sadder when Chiaki tried to look like nothing had happened and after that apologized and tried to go back and the relationship between the families is still maintained. Even though after they dating they were very sweet, I was sad when I remembered before. But I was a bit relieved when Subaru cried there. I also saw how Subaru felt is sincere
