I have the same feeling. But Ruth is just spending a lot more time with her because of her magic studies. I do hope Riftan and Maxi will find a new hobby together or something, because it's no wonder their relationship is not developing. Outside of horizontal tango they don't spend much time together.

I like more the relationship between Ruth and maxi than her with riftan. It's like their relationship isn't developing in the last chapters.
