I agree with everything you say. But I think I changed my mind after reading the novel spoilers on novel updates and the story evolved and was really unexpectedly beautiful in the end
I mean I don't think any kind of redemption arc could convince me to forgive jiskar's actions in the starting chapters.
But if the mc forgave him, than who am I to say
And i guess in the end everyone has their own opinions but it's still way too messed up for me.
The ending is kind of bittersweet in a good way

In the end they learn to love each other but at the same time, let each other go because in the end they realized that the MC needs to become independent from the ML. So it’s like love in the novel where they realize that letting go is a form of love itself.
they have like zero chemistry too and the ML just makes the mc feel like shit so I genuinely don’t know whos liking their dynamic. i do find the plot interesting though.
This ending is the best for them. I have to agree with the author with this.
I will be more disappointed if they will have that cliché 'enemy to lover' then live happily ever after ending.
Their relationship is complicated so this kind of bittersweet ending suits them.
