And if we assume he does know about the sex trafficking plan they all just shrugged it off and treated it as a "warning" and that was that lol Asuka was blamed and ridiculed for how he reacted and yet the real villains just got a slap on the wrist.
Nvm. I'm still pissed off about the whole middle of the series lol they coulda left that bit out and just went with a "he's a civi but his love interest is yakuza" Romeo and Juliet route and I would've been much happier with it ending the way it did lol

But then again, when the uke in the story has an actual, legitimate reason for the way they act and just don't know how to function like a normal person due to their history THAT'S when they start insulting the uke and story lol

It still feels like Asuka is in the doghouse, and the way Ao has just done a complete 180 since just a chapter ago is leaving me aggravated.
I wanna give the mangaka an excuse and /say/ the plot was laid out like this due to time constraints and not having enough chapters to work with. I want to give them the benefit of a doubt.
Ao isn't even "scared" of Asuka anymore lol like, the whole reason why people were defending how he reacted so vehemently was due to how he reacted to Asuka beating the brakes off his kidnappers. Now homie is like "you're too kind" "you really did all of this for us" as if he didn't put the whole blame on the freshly turned 18 yo Asuka who just wanted to be loved back. It makes me feel like Ao is just a hypocrite or indecisive af about his morals.
