Oooh. Do you think it might not be a horror game but definitely something supernatural? Like maybe they actually are in the real world but it’s been so long they forgot? (Remember baba says he feels the abandoned house is familiar?) Kind of like a cabin in the woods thing but with a time loop. I do think they aren’t the killers though.
The villagers are definitely part of the bad guys and they closed off the entire area to massacre them. I wonder why tho? Is it for a sacrifice or something? I mean, with the connection from the occult, it's probable. Also, the killer respawning when killed could also be just the villagers donning that sack in the head and pretending to be one person.
