Im sorry that this is a long comment. And its been more than a year, but still wanted to reply to you bc you had some veeery good points. I have a love and hate for this story. I want to like it, for what it is as a short little nugget, but the things you listed and pointed out were the same things that took me out of the story also. Plus, as someone below stated, there were quite a few things glossed over.
What happened to Alice after being taken away? Was she arrested? Kicked out of school?
What happened to Heinrich after his father took his position away? I'm guessing he's still a Peince, just not the Crown Prince.
If that's the case, then is there another brother/Prince??
The King said its too late to be a father and he wouldn't dare ask Hansel to succeed the throne, so live life freely. But then...what is he going to do as far as work and such?? Will he marry into Karen's family and take on her family name and become the successor (if women can't in this story's worl) of the family??
There's just so many things wrong with this story that it outweighs the good unfortunately. I wish there were a few more chapters so things could have been flushed out more.
And this sentence, "Hansel, I don't know. His hair and his dark skin color makes him look cold."
Excuuuuuse me???????! As a "dark skinned" woman, I was disgusted.
OH! And her potential rape at the picnic and freaking almost-GANGRAPE....why in the HELL were they glossed over and not discussed or acknowledged?? Not even by Karen, who was the victim!!!!
Most of it is glossed over too. The fact that the brown ml had to hate on himself for his skin color to get good with the parents who raised him made me vomit a little. The fl cheated on her fiancee. The fiancee assaulted her. There was also attempted gangrape. I couldn't focus on any of the "good parts" because of it. Just warning you so you know before reading as this chaos makes up 90% of the story and everything else is smut. I feel sick.
