Exactly, it's not as if he wasn't already living life like they never existed. This whole drama feels so contrived. I'm sure the story could have been lengthened in a more organic way instead of shoehorning surprise relatives into this.

I think he just needs to tell them about his preferences....will they be pissed yeah. But dodging it isn't making things any easier. Once everything is said and done he can go about his way with out this huge burden on his shoulder. And I hate when mom just sits back and act like nothing going on. Like say something.
