when they say "hidden-gem BL manhwa", this is the first work that comes to my mind. I cannot recommend it enough.
Set in colonial US, it's painter uke x loan shark seme. It's plot and dialogue-heavy but sooooo worth it, you'll be really invested as a reader. Angst, romance, art, revenge, politics, u name it, it's in here.
it kinda gives off Les Miserables vibes for me too what with the social class dynamics and revolution thing, except this one is obvs gayer hahah.
