thats obviously what i think but if you think about it he is too fuctional to be truly drunk and in previous chapters he lied A LOT to dan about almost everything (inviting him home for treatment while he wanted to fck him, lying about the blond guy calling while he didnt call) so it only makes sense he would lie once again to achieve his goal.

i thought maybe you might’ve read the raws and it was actually the truth. but uh, could be a possibility but i don’t think so honestly. just have to wait for more chapters to release.

i mean you might be right but i think there's an equal chance he is just drunk. jaekyung was being too nice and normal to be faking it tbh. some people have a really low tolerance and actually become drunk from 1 drink, and assuming jaekyung hasn't drank in a long long time it makes sense i guess but we'll see what happens when he wakes up.

You could be right and the author could pull that in the next chapter but theres no indication in this chapter of that, at least to me, I feel like he would've been a bit more of a dick then he was if were faking it but he kissed Dan back in that scene. Also before this chapter he was acting drunk in front of the whole team so why would he do that instead of wait until they got back if it really was a test. Theres a chance of him faking it but its slim.

I can tell you he is not sober due to his eyes but he could be drunk or he could be tipsy and pretending to be worse than he is.
People are thinking that is shot glass but Dan has a shot glass and pouring it into a cup. jaekyung took a big gulp of the cup. It is possible that someone could get drunk from that. Is Jaekyung, I don't know. But he is not sober.

I don't think it is to check to see if Dan would act the same as weeks ago. Dan had to work to get that key chain and he said it was a few weeks before his birthday.
He could be checking his feelings but with the story, he wants to know what is going on with Dan. Many panels have him checking on Dan. He is falling asleep at the house. He is falling asleep and missing dinner Dan just spread blood on his arm. If he is pretending his goal is to learn what Dan is up to.

I think it's kinda weird if getting drunk and doing all this is to see what Dan is up to, he got nothing from the interaction to answer that and knowing jaekyungs character he wouldn't need to since he could come up to dan and angrily ask what's wrong then demand an answer from him. He really has no definite reason to be pretend drunk in the end.

His plan was not to get drunk. He thought he was drinking water. Did I incite that? He was not watching what he grabbed. So drinking the soju was an accident.
if he is pretending something, that plan was made after they are outside when he leaning on the wall.
If you go back you can read it either way he is drunk or he is tipsy and pretending to be worse than what he is. We need more chapters to see which one.
There are many times he went to Dan asking for information without being angry. This is in the scope of Jaekyung's character. Without the drink, he would probably asked without being angry it depends on how he wanted to go about it. Are you sure you understand Jaekyung's character?

Idk I'm just going off the idea that hes "pretending" which I dont believe, even if he thought about it after the drink its still kinda sudden and theres no indication of that. If he really was pretending there would be signs or we'd get jaekyungs inner monologue if the author wanted us to know

I have not say what I believe. When they started this he is drunk vs he is complaining. I read it closing.

Either interpretation is plausible at this point. We need more chapters. If you read back and want to see what they are seeing watch his actions and facial expressions. There are indications.

He just learn Dan was bleeding and Dan was missing dinner due to sleeping. I would image he wanted to comfort Dan and in the "pretending". (which I said he is not sober) he find a way or an angle to get what he wanted. With a drunk Jaekyung Dan maybe would open up more. We only get his inner monologue a few time but no we would not he inner monologue since she wants him mysterious and worst than he is. She does not want us to know yet.

Ok I'm understanding your take a lot better and I do agree that maybe that could be the case and we do need more chapters to confirm it

It could be either way but we need more chapters. I don't know if it is my take but I understand what you meant. I just see what both sides are saying, I can write an "essay" on both views and argue for both cases.
I just know he is not sober by how his eyes reacted. If someone says he is sober that would be inaccurate. He has complained about his head a few times.
