I feel like this artist has a penchant for messing up original works by rushing through things like ‘Bye Bye’ was rushed as hell and barely spent any time on the actual characters but from what I’ve heard the novel is nothing like that

It probably does but I looked and I can't find it so it's most likely just not translated to English
According to manga*pdates, there is no novel. It's an original webtoon. And this one is done by the artist herself. ByeBye had a different author.
Wow... illustrator should've maybe at least show us seme tucking in Siyeon and actually have him look at his son with caring eyes while gently caressing his head so the readers will feel reassured that he actually cares about Siyeon and maybe probably uke.. but oh well :) ¯_(ツ)_/¯
