I think he might just be a man of few words, and the others don’t seem to mind either. They actually want him around seems like. This chapter it seemed like he was a little more upset than usual, so he might talk more next chapter.

Being an introvert or man of few words doesn’t explain why he has no facial expressions. He doesn’t even have inner monologue… its just silence pretty much. I couldn’t tell if he was mad because his face looks the same all the time.
I get what your saying, he might have a chapter or two where they recap on what his inner monologue was during the stories. Some authors like to do that for the main characters love interest. I think because he isn’t the main character they focus more on the red head, than his bf.
Bruh how can he sit in a room full of people and only say two things? And those were only to answer two questions. Not even a hello to his bf?
Has the author ever explained why he doesn’t speak, have any type of facial expressions, inner monologue? Heck even body language anything that communicates thoughts or feelings? Other than complete silence.
