OK SO THIS READS LIKE AN INDIE SUMMER FILM! THE SENTIMENTAL MOOD OF THE STORYYY FELT CONSISTENT ALL THROUGHOUT TT it's the kind of story that's meant to evoke strong feelings of nostalgia with its cinematic art style! there were a lot of scenes that stuck with me, one of em was Ned seeing his room for the first time and being absolutely captivated by the view, cos i think i understand how that feels like, it's smthing quite magical, the art is so gorgeous in this scene too that i could almost smell the sea and feel that distinct summer breeze hahaha next is ned's budding attraction for Al lmfao it was done soooo well!!! i liked the tension between them like bro they want each other so bad , mostly ned tho, hshsjjs i was giggling and kicking my feet everytime one of em blushed jsjsjdjd THE YEARNING IS DELICIOUS JFC HSHS but ig my fav scene between al and ned was when ned said al looked happier, cos thats like a validation of Al's past and how much he'd tried his best to heal from it with maggie, and being told smthing like that esp for an abuse victim like al means reassurance that the worst days are over. Im yapping my heart away over here BUT LASTLY, AL AND NED COMING BACK TO THE SUMMER HOUSE MADE ME TEARY-EYED MORE THAN MAGGIE'S DEATH HAHAHA. COS I LOVE HOW SYMBOLIC IT IS!!! FOR BOTH OF THEM, IT'S BEEN A PLACE, A HOME THAT PROMISES BRIGHTER AND HAPPIER DAYS AHEAD. AND THAT'S THE END OF MY RAMBLING. I LOVE THIS STORY, DEARLY!!!!
