They both said shitty shit and both suffered, but adrian only said the shitty shit in retaliation to harper's shitty shit so I don't understand the high horse. Gives me a bad taste in the mouth if anything, similar to unbalanced relationships irl that even if both were in the wrong the dom bc having to be the one to apologize or some shit just so the other one can "win". I agree they both said things but Harper didn't go below the belt. Adrian though being mad at him for the mind reading was one thing but he went above that. He shit talking about him being an influencer and saying things like he took advantage of Adrian for the clout when he didn't even do that and something along the lines of you didn't help people with your ability out of the kindness of your heart but for clout yada yada yada
Yeah cuz to a degree it is very true. He didnt do that towards individual people but overall he did when it came to intentionally surrpunding himsrlf on fame with those same abilities. That's moreso what adrian meant and in a later chapter harper eecognizes that that distinct point was right. They both said super hurtful things apart from having a reasonable point mixed in. Neither did much more than the other in the argument imo. It still hell sucks that harper didnt realize how to respect adrian's boundaries earlier becUse while it is 100% ok to use such ability to help strangers, it doesn't really work like that with someone you are going to keep in your life. That's where boundaries would come in.
I just didn't like it that Adrian have to for lack of better words weaponize(?)Harper's fame and use it against him when they were fighting. If Adrian wants to be angry for his privacy invaded he can but only up until that. I still think that it was unnecessary to bring other factors to the table. All the fame Harper has didn't even affect him in any way negative or otherwise.
Newsflash many people out there take the opportunity to bring up related problems to theirs. Essentially Harper did do the same thing to gain fame as he did to curry favor with adrian when he couldnt stand the iffy distance between them in their situationship due to Adrian's 101 worries over getting into a relationship again. That's why Harper ended up recognizing that it was indeed wrong of him to 100% rely on his powers and fame as a coping mechanism for his loneliness when he had also already managed to gain a genuine relationship with the girl and then Adrian. It wasn't useless for Adrian to have brought up how the coping mechanism was the main reason Harper couldn't help also doing it with Adrian. He was simply so used to doing it he didn't really think before he acted. Of course the way it got brought up was terrible, but thats just what happens sometimes when people snap.
Finally just as I wanted it to go. Sayonara Adrian. You got what you wanted being left ALONE. I hated the fact that you got into his head sure I would have understand if he apologized for using his powers on you to read your mind but not publicly apologize for something he used his powers for good where his channel actually helped a lot of people.
HARPER never ever look back. It's good that you know where to draw the line. You deserve so much better than some moody trauma filled ancient being who is still stuck living in the last. BE happy Harper without him.
