this has also been my issue with japanese mangas bl or straight. they always downplay r*pe
I agree but I think Korean manga is even worse. There’s only a few I follow because the majority always start with rape or an absolute red flag and people drool over it! It gets ratings above 9, and sometimes there’s not even a redemption arc.
My only problem with bl mangas are how japanese mangaka just give up on punishing the sexual assaulter and sometimes makes the mc forgive them
