I thought it might have a happy-ish ending for a moment there lmao

When Baekdo thought Junseo might be doing all of this because he loved him, it really seemed like Baekdo was willing to accept the situation and deal with it because he was so desperate to be loved. Maybe then they could've become a bit more of a conventional "couple." But obviously not lmao it's a shame he simply just got mindbroken, hot fetish and all but idk I kinda liked the situation I described more. Something that really toes the line of Stockholm Syndrome but can't really be described as that would've been really interesting and unique

In the end both are happy with this setting so to me is not much different since this was both preference since the beginning

Idk I don't think I'd say Baekdo was "happy" with the situation. Like I said, it ended with mindbreak. He's obviously not all there anymore, if he's happy it's because he's quite literally delusional

Anything close to stockholm syndrome is not happiness by this definition, nor are most situation sinse a "mind break" and accepting crumbles of what you really wanted or living in desilusion is more common than true happiness and some/most people prefer this kind of confort than risk having hope again..."mind break" is a state of reduced mental capability for survival....like religious people they have the mental capability to have empathy, to chose, to judge and think for themselves but they where conditioned or chose to not think or question and follow rules so they live in simply and by that comfortable state of mind....only themselves can say if they are feeling happy
By Uke point of view he willingly chose and wanted to believe in what he wanted to believe (that seme genuinely loved him and that if he follow the rules he would be loved and live comfortably) the final traw is that he acepted to lower himself for guilty
the victim thinking they were the ones in the wrong, that the predator understand them deeply, that they have a connection, that the predator loves them like no one could even when he saw the victim "unpleasant part" and that he actually suffered to "saved" them from the Wafull and shallow life outside where the victim could not reach truly happiness, and that everyone else "doesn't understand" and wants to separate them is Stockholm syndrome
